I may have to discontinue this forum soon 'cuz we aren't getting the traffic. The reason why is 'cuz of The Black Fish Tavern on The Official Dinotopia Message Board. We just can't keep it going. This site will be missed. If anyone has any suggestions on how we can keep this place going, post them here or on the Outer Island thread that Time made on The Official Dinotopia Message Board. If not, I will be closing up shoppe and maybe using this as a backup or and archive board of some kind. Thank all of you Who use this board.

Maybe here's another idea, Barry...
I had an idea to make a board for the carnivores.
Named 'Rainy Basin Resort'
I had it all planned out, but didn't know how to put it up on Proboards.
I was thinking that we BOTH could switch this board into that one... If it's OK by you.
(Need a Dinotopia board that's a little more fiesty anyway!) LOL!

Now that's a great idea. So what do we need to have changed to make this work? I can start off by taking of some of the unnecessary boards that we don't need or use.

EDIT: I hid some of the boards that we don't use very much so if we need them back, I could just unhide them.

BTW, I like the name you suggested.

Here's a few more ideas for the board:

Hey guys!
I finally figured out what type of message board we can do!
The way I figure it is there is very little places where carnivores can go to chill...
Why don't we make a board just for them?!

*We can call it "The Rainy Basin Resort", or something like that.
*We could use that painting by Gurney, the one where Bix and company are confronted by Stinktooth and company, and use that as a banner.
*The background skin could be something like a jungle motif.
*Other color schemes for the board would be done in a similar way.
*Our footprint language can be the same, only the footprints could be two-clawed, not three.

Now for the categories!

New to the Basin: Here's where newbies and others can introduce themselves.
Grumble Zone: Here's where you can rant about every Dinotopian subject, personal gripes or anything else (Like in the news) you have strong opinions on.
Temple Ruins: This is where religous things can be discussed, or any other Dinotopian philosophical aspect that needs to be addressed.
Deep Swamp: This is where any flame, spammer or other malcontent is sent - before they're eaten! (JK...! JK...!)
Moss valley: A nice place, perfect for the artistic at heart. Here you can put your pictures and drawings, your stories or poems or any other artistic idea you may have.
Rainy Basin R.P.: This is the place where your R.P.'s go. They can be Dinotopian in general, Rainy Basin related specifically, dragon or any other type. (Seperate sections for each genre might be needed.)

Other places in and around the Rainy Basin that can be used for category names:

Sharpclaw Territory
Palace of kings
Stone reliefs
Edax feeding grounds
Mount Spiketail
Aegis Gully
Rocky Pass

(More categories might be needed, LMK if you want to help!)

It looks a bit distorted, maybe accident when posting?
Maybe take the original and crop to banner size, instead of stretching...

The golf one would've been funnier! LOL!

This is a dragon backup board. What about other mythological creatures?

Very hard to find. I'll try to find some. If you run across some free ones link them to me. So far I keep finding other animal emoticons like pigs, cats, and dogs but no dinosaur ones. If anyone can find any free dino or related emoticons post the link here.

I just updated the rules page. No rules changed just the title and the background.

Changed the look of the second skin. I used an Egyptian hieroglyphics background to make it look like the inside of a temple that may be in the basin. Check it out!

Adjusted the board font size slightly bigger for people like me Who have a HD Display. It was too small to read. Had to squint to read it. ;D
