Hi folks!Just wanted to know if anybody's alive in here. I haven't seen posts here since early last year! What we need is to have an event to liven things up. Any suggestions? Mine are; Double posts day. Make all posts worth two postings, to boost your posting points (Is that possible?). Story day: Like on the OMB, they had 'Storyhearth'. We could do something like that here! Most interesting hobby day: Everyone tells of thier hobbies, and some kind of prize is given for the coolest one. Got more!... How about the opposites of these ideas? (Half-points day, tall tale day, most boring hobby day... LOL! Sorry!) Anyway ... WAKE UP!!!!!

Ok, so it seems that none of these methods are going to work! I guess the only way to create greater activity here is to have everyone make more posts. (But how to do this, you might ask...)
Contests? Off-subject chats? More RP's? RL member bios? Things in the news? The new technology and other gadjets? Revealing RL family gossip? Movies and media? The economy? Political proclavities? Philosophy (Dinotopia and otherwise)? Planes, trains and automobiles? Food and dining? Bad habits, good habits? Child care and parenting (Dinotopia and otherwise)? Funny or interesting anecdotes? Jokes (Practical or otherwise)? Any other interesting thing one can imagine?
There has to be some way that everyone can post more here. (Everyone has something to say!) If you have any suggestions, all of us would love to hear it! Just post any other suggestions you might have here, and we'll see if we can arrange it!
Save this board from the horrible crickets... Post here... Post often...

Here I sit, attempting a thought or two, but with no one to share it with the thought turns to goo, it's a sad notion in and of itself, that something that could be so awesome has to be put on a shelf, so for now I shall only imagine, were I not alone here... who could be with me now?

Ouch, we Dinotopians need to simplify and stick together. I started following links to this message board and that, it all seems very complicated to keep up. Some are used more than others and some, aren't used at all. I personally enjoy the Role-playing games. I like to imagine myself in a better place where people actually go out of their way to help others... part of the reason I love Dinotopia. Also there is the bit about the dinosaurs, for me that is awesome as I volunteer at a paleontology museum and Dinotopia really brings the fossils to life!

There are a lot of reasons why there isn't much traffic on these Dinotopia boards. One would be that Dinotopia was more popular a decade or so ago than today. Another reason is that our members have moved on to other things (Though it's good to see a few come back from time to time!). Another thing is the variety of other things on the internet and other media that people are interested in than Dinotopia - or dinosaurs in general, for that matter. For those that have a Facebook account, you can find many sites there dealing with Dinotopia (James Gurney himself is enrolled there too!). All in all, there are far too many other things out there that occupy people than merely going to the OMB or these other boards.
Let's face it. Dinotopia is slowly becoming extinct... OR IS IT?
