ICC: Coffrey Rex is a character in a book I got published, so I guess he is copyrighted. But since I am the creator of the character, I guess I can portray him anyplace I want!
_____
Coffrey Rex
Name: "Coffrey Rex"
Species: Cracken dragon/Tyranosaur hybrid (new dragon species suggested: Theropod dragon.)
Gender: Male
Age: 12 1/2 at present.
Appearance: As a Tyranosaur, Coffrey looks just like any other: Grey/green hide, adolescent muzzle, green reptilian eyes, slightly olive underbelly; and he stands 6' at the shoulders. As a dragon, he is slightly quadropedic - he uses his larger forelimbs for walking, but can run on two feet. His hide turns an ebony black, his eyes glow green, his teeth take on a bluish hue and he stands 15' at the shoulder. His tail is stumpier when a dragon, his forelimbs are more massive, twin horns stick out of his head, twin frills emerge from behind his jaws and two wings sprout from his shoulderblades. Other than this, he looks like an ordinary Tyranosaur as a dragon.
Abilities: Green laser beams emerge from his eyes that can burn through anything, or can be used for pinpoint or delicate work like surgery. Empathy, can sense others' pain, and can deaden it or increase it. Squirts caustic acid from his tail, which is stronger than any acid known. Helpful and well meaning personality, but hates injustice.
Posessions: A riding saddle that incorporates high technology: it can fold out to become a partial suit of dragon armor, has an array of electronic shields, has radio technology that can link with any computer system in the world, also has weapons and survival gear suitable to his rider. Owns a small apartment in a secret base/training area in the desert. He keeps a small sack of obsidian with him at all times - in case he gets the munchies!
Affiliations: Dragon Riders Guild, Ikkak Dilophosaur, Queen Grimoire, Glyph, Kiawa Rex, Queenie Rex, World Cultural Preservation Society, the World Council, Forrest Wanders.
Biography: Coffrey Rex is a young Tyranosaur whose father was a Cracken dragon that could shape-shift into any living thing (He was also one of the villians of the story.). His mother was just an ordinary Tyranosaur, and they lived where they lived without anyone knowing either was a dragon. At the end of the first part of the story, his father's dragon identity is revealed, and is quickly destroyed by another dragon hero in the story. Since his father was a dragon, Coffrey finds out he is a dragon as well, and the one who destroyed his father volunteers to train him. Coffrey is young and well-meaning; and his friend, a Dilophosaur, thinks his newly discovered powers are cool!
So training begins, and it is discovered he shoots green eye beams that he can vary in intensity from laserlike cutting of anything to microsurgery through further training. He can shoot highly caustic acid from his tail, and eats obsidian (lava glass) as a suppliment for the acid gland in his body. As he grows, this obsidian infuses all the bones in his body, making him nearly indestructable. He retained his shape-shifting ability from his father, but can only change from his dragon form to a natural Tyranosaur, whole body glowing green with the process. He can see the pain of others with his mind, and can manipulate the synapses in thier brains to block it - or increase it if he chooses. As this other dragon trains him in the art of flying, he shows his skills are not lacking there either; and can soon fly circles around his mentor!
Learning everything his mentor has to teach, he is reccomended to be enrolled in the Dragon Riders Guild; and sent to a secluded dragon base in the middle of the Gobi Desert. There he learns, along with many other dragons of his age group, the ways of the dragon and thier role as protectors of the world. Training is intense, physically; and he must endure many excercises involving climbing craggy peaks, dodging the bases laser cannon, learning the ways and languages of the world because his home is secluded from the rest of the world - and enduring the pressure of his peers since he is the son of the evilest dragon on earth!
Coffrey finally graduates the academy, and his first assignment is to protect the land of his birth - a land where dinosaurs and humans live as one (No... not Dinotopia!)...
_____
Ikkak Dilophosaur:
ICC: Ikkak is also in my published books, and the name as well as the character is also copyrighted.
Name: "Ikkak Dilophosaur"
Species: Dilophosaur
Gender: Male
Age: 12 at present.
Appearance: Ikkak looks like any other Dilophosaur his age; but the only feature that makes him stand out is the toothy smile he always seems to have on his face. He is five feet at the shoulder, vertical black and white striping all over his body, twin red, blue and green head crests and reddish nocturnal saurian eyes. Friends to the end, Ikkak doesn't care whether Coffrey is a dragon or T-Rex, he's sticking with him!
Abilities: Professional hunter for his age, he preferrs to hunt at night. He trained to be a dragon rider, and knows communication and data retrieval, along with saurian style martial arts and all the weaponry common to the dragon riders: energy lance, stunner pistol and rifle, photon grenades and stealth electronics. Always seems to be talking to someone on his communicator!
Posessions: He owns three custom made suits of dragon rider armor: one for battle, one for training and one for formal events. Owns a communication shack in Coffrey's mothers' Tyranosaur territory on the island.
Affiliations: Coffrey Rex, Dragon Riders Guild, Dinosaur Island security.
Biography: Ikkak Dilophosaur was born in the jungles in the northern part of the island, and followed his parents (Selma, Dulock) around on tghier nocturnal hunting expeditions. They were soon recruited by Draco (Known as King Rex then.) to scout the land and bring back information. At the Tyranosaur camp, Ikkak became quite attatched to little Coffrey; and they played together when they were together. As the first explorers found and examined the island, he and Coffrey became friends with the head explorer from the outside world (Forrest Wanders). When the carnivore attacks came, they were both held at the Tyranosaur camp until the defeat of the carnivores. When Coffrey's powers were revealed, Ikkak was right beside his friend giving him childlike advice and support until the hatchling Tyranosaur had gotten used to his strange circumstance.
Not wanting to be seperated from his friend as his dragon training began, Ikkak wanted to help out and become involved as well. The hero dragon (Glyph) reccomended him to the Dragon Guild, and he was included in the training. Coffrey was indoctrinated in the Dragion Guild academy and sent away with his mentor; but an older dragon arrived (Sir Oinkyvek, a piglike dragon.) and continued his training along with another Dragon Rider cadet (Jungtik Tiger); where both cadets learned everything there was to know about being a Dragon rider. A communication center was set up for them to learn on, and thier training included modern weapon practice and martial arts. At thier field graduation, both were awarded thier dragons. Ikkak got Coffrey, for which he was most happy; and Jungtik got Mordaza (Simple-minded lionlike dragon who is super strong.).
Jungtik and Mordaza's first assignment was to patrol trade routes in the Russian Steppes, and Ikkak and Coffrey were told to guard thier homeland on the island...
_____
ICC: I put these creatures in pairs because they are a dragon and rider team.

Lead in: (History of Draconia)
Draconia (Formally known as Earth.) is a planet wild and untouched by civilization; but it is a world that has known great changes. Pockets of past civilizations still exist, but they are far in between. Eons ago, humans used to dominate the planet, and thier civilizations flourished; but thier preponerance for war led them to thier ultimate downfall. Thier scientists were quite advanced in many endeavors, and genetic research led to the coming about of many fantastic creatures. No less the dragons, of which they unleashed on thier enemies; and ultimately themselves. Thusly they went into hiding as thier genetic creations took over thier world. As the eons passed, humans no longer dominated the world; and thier creations set out to make the world into thier own image.
As the dragons became more and more organized, they set about creating the Dragon Guild; a world spanning government that would bring order and peace to the world now just becoming habitable again as the ruins of past human civilization crumbled into the earth. Thier leader was King Draco, strong and just at first; but his want for power made him bold and ruthless. Yet he organized all the dragons and bade them to maintain order in the areas they found themselves in, and the 'lesser' creatures in those areas found it prudent to comply. They ruled the earth (Now known as Draconia) with iron talons for many centuries until the people they ruled demanded to be treated as equals. This brought about a rebellion that spanned the globe!
A few of the dragons sympathized with the creatures' plight, knowing in thier hearts that it was only fair; and sided with them in the Dragon Guild. Grimoire the wise petitioned with Draco, but he wouldn't hear of it; saying that the creatures of the world depended on thier leadership, and she was only trying to overturn everything they stood for. This brought about skirmish and battle for the outnumbered forces of Grimnoire; but the other creatures who wanted freedom banded with her forces - calling themselves Dragon Riders - and eventually won out with the added firepower of the weapons they had invented long ago. The Dragon Wars lasted many generations until one day Draco was holed up in a stronghold as wave after wave of attack assaulted it; and the stronghold was ultimately destroyed, along with Draco, presumably.
Assuming that Draco was dead, along with his empire; peace settled on the world, and Grimoire was crowned queen of the Dragonn guild. She decreed to let the rest of the world run itself they wat they wanted, and the Dragon guild would only act if things got out of control. This lasted for many generations, and the people of the world gradually recovered enough to expand thier horizons and recover all that was lost in the eons of mankind's downfall. The world had gone through many changes, and an ice age that was gradually receeding revealed many ruins that was once the cities of the modern world (today's world). Many things were discovered, and many new civilizations sprung up both on earth as well as the surrounding celestial bodies. The civilizations of the past taught the ones of this age a lot of what it was like to live.
In a remote corner of the southern Atlantic ocean an anomaly was discovered, and it turned out to be an island presumed lost in the ice age. It was protected by a forcefield, and a preserved civilization still thriving was discovered there. It was founded by a group of genetic researchers, working on dinosaur DNA; and the resulting civilization was quite unique to the world. After it was discovered and the people and dinosaurs there became aware of the existence of the outside world (They thought they were the only survivors of the ice age!); a great upheval in the ranks of the carnivore dinosaurs erupted, and nearly destroyed thier civilization! The Dragon Guild had sent one of thier own on the mission to rediscover these people, and the rebellion was swiftly vanquished. The perpetrator of this upheval was none other than Draco, who had fled his outpost and found himself there; and he quickly convinced the carnivores to join his cause, taking over the island and eventually the world!
This dragon and his rider (Glyph, Forrest Wanders) engaged him in an aerial battle; and with the help of a miniature ion cannon, destroyed Draco once and for all! The people of this secluded island was so grateful for the help of these outsiders that treaties were quickly penned and they began thier journey of being inducted into the rest of the world. The rest of the world was also relieved; for Draco was finally dead and a horrible chapter in world history could finally be put to rest. It was later found out that Draco had had a son among the Tyranosaurs of the island. Dragons are naturally genetically sterile, and they can only be reproduced by cloning; but Draco must have had a mutated gene that allowed him to produce natural offspring. Little Coffrey Rex was horrifyed at having Draco be his father, and he thusly a dragon also; but he eventually got used to both facts, vowing he would never be like him...
ICC: Sound good?

IC: Coffrey, Ikkak, Dinosaur Island.
The dense jungle had given way to rocky scrub as Ikkak Dilophosaur and Coffrey Rex traveled on. Coffrey, who was part dragon and part Tyranosaurus Rex, could not fly due to the thickness of the forest; so he decided to walk instead. His heavy armored saddle did nothing to ease his travel - in fact, it happered him at every turn as it caught on branch and bramble! Ikkak Dilophosaur was having a much easier time of things, for this was his home territory; and he knew every tree like the back of his upper appendage! Plus the fact that ikkak was many times smaller than his dragon companion did not hurt either!
"Oh, good!", Coffrey said as they emerged into the rocky patch of sunshine at the end of the day. "Let's camp here tonight..."
"No way!", Ikkak told him. "If we travel two more miles that way,", he pointed a claw. "We'll be at the watering hole. You know our waterskins are just about empty!" "Yeah, but I want to fly there!", Coffrey complained. "My feet are getting sore!"
"You know the watering hole is in thicker brush than what we just went through back there!", Ikkak said. "If you fly in there, you'd crash and break my neck!"
"Always looking out for my well-being...", Coffrey said with sarcasm and continued on. "Say! I smell Obsidian!"
"Well I smell something too, and it ain't Obsidian!", Ikkak told him as he pushed his way through more brush.
"Me too!", Coffrey mocked. "Why didn't you take a bath!"
"I ain't kidding!", Ikkak turned to him, indicating with his red eyes to become quiet. "Now hush!", this he said in a whisper.
Beyond the thicket of leaves and foliage lay a clearing, one that would have surely held a spring or pond; but most of it was obscured by the jungle around it. Ikak bent a leaf to look beyond, and saw a figure bending to the pool it was in front of and began to drink. The figure was just finishing its' drink when its' head sprung up, looking this way and that; then producing a low growl as the cretatures' eyes met thier peering ones...
TAG: Anyone!...
